Low dose methylprednisolone induced bradycardia.
Methylprednisolone induced arrhythmias, especially bradycardia, are well known. Most of the available reports suggest the occurrence of these arrhythmias with high dose intravenous therapy. We, hereby report a case of low dose methylprednisolone induced bradycardia.
متن کاملNodal bradycardia induced by tocainide.
A case of tocainide-induced nodal bradycardia in standard recommended dose is reported. There was no recurrence when the drug was subsequently reintroduced in a reduced dosage. It is suggested that in the elderly, tocainide should be used in a lower dosage than normally recommended.
متن کاملLABORATORY INVESTIGATION ELECTROPHYSIOLOGY Bradycardia-dependent triggered activity: relevance to drug-induced multiform ventricular tachycardia
We used cesium chloride (CsCI) for electrophysiologic studies in canine hearts in vivo and in vitro to examine the mechanisms underlying ventricular arrhythmias that are related to prolonged repolarization. Cesium is known to depress normal ventricular automaticity and some experimental arrhythmias by blocking delayed outward currents and prolonging action potential duration. In 10 dogs in norm...

متن کاملMechanism of vasopressin-induced bradycardia in dogs.
In dogs anesthetized with intravenous chloralose, vasopressin was injected either intravenously or into the cerebral ventricles, and the cardiovascular effects were studied before and after stabilizing the arterial blood pressure, bilateral vagotomy, and transection of the cervical cord at the level of C2. Intravenous vasopressin caused a rise in arterial blood pressure and pronounced bradycard...
